This old car was in a pond on a farm site as we drove the country side. Thought it was neat so went back to get picture.

These pictures explain the nest of the alligator. She lays her eggs in a big nest and then covers them up. An alligator's brain is as big as a pea. They are not smart at all. Once the eggs are laid she really doesn't care about them at all. The temp of the nest determines the sex of the hatch. The nests are marked by some one in a plane spotting them in the marsh and he drops down a bamboo pole with a flag. Then they go in an air boat out and gaiter the eggs and then they take them back to the ranch. All alligators are born in Aug. The alligators here are the very deadly ones.

This is at the Gator Ranch we visited. The top pictures are in the barn where they are kept until they are four years old. We through small marshmallows into the pens to feed them. They are very quick.

They had a big tank where they had baby alligators that people could catch. They have their moths taped shut so they can't bite.
