This is some of the damage we saw in January 2009. This was East of Galveston Texas along 87 on Bolivard Peninsula. The black bags are put out in the gulf to protect the beach. The storm pushed them up on the beach. Roads were washed out so the traffic had to drive on the beach. The ship is the USS Stewart DDE 238 at Seawolf Park.
